Hey everyone! For this week's free blog post, I am going to be talking about the sequal to the movie "Now You See Me". They are going to be coming out with a second movie. I really enjoyed watching the first one and I am really stoked for the second. The trailer has a lot of great sound bits that i really enjoyed. Heres the trailer: Hey everyone! I am not really going to do much of an intro for this week's blog because I just want to get right on with it. Okay so this week's blog topic is about advice that I have for the new students coming into media next school year. I am only a first year student but I have somethings that I would like to remind the new students and give them advice for media.
The first thing that I would like to give you advice on is to always sign out and in your equipment. Sometimes you are in a rush to put things away but trust me on this one. I signed out equipment and I forgot to sign the camera back in but I knew that I put it away. Mr.M couldn't find the camera and It turns out that I put the camera in the wrong container and now I know to sign things back in. The next thing that I would like to give you advice on is to always be on task. Somethings you get distracted and you end up no focusing on the important thing and what needs to get done. I learned this the hard way. The last and final thing that I would like to give you advice on is when you have to do a project with a group of people or with someone, actually help that person/people! Sometimes you are going to have to do a project with someone or with people, and I am telling you this now, HELP THEM! Don't let them do all the work! Okay so that is it for this week's blog post, I hope you new students will listen to what me and the rest of the media students have to say about this class and some do's and don'ts. Bye!
Hey everyone! For this week's free blog post I am going to be talking about the trailer for the movie "The Shallows". This movie is about a girl that goes on vacation to go surfing and while there she gets attacked by a shark. She is stranded on a rock that is 200 yards away from the shoreline and though it might she might be able to swim back to shore, the Great White Shark is preventing her from surviving. When I first saw this trailer I was so pumped because this movie seems so interesting! The other thing is that the sound bites in the beginning of the trailer when she was putting wax on her board and she was getting ready to go in the water was amazing! Here is the trailer to this movie that will be coming out June 29, 2016:
Hey everyone! How is everyone's 4th quarter projects going? Well, speaking of projects, this week's required blog post is a project update. I would say that I am right on time for this project. I am not ahead and I am not behind and here the three reasons why!
The first reason that I think that I am on task is because I actually finished all of the filming this weekend. It was fairly difficult to find a store to film in but luckily I found one really last minute. Kaycee also came over to my house on Saturday to help me film and I got that done. The second reason that I think I am on task so far this quarter is because since I have finished filming, tomorrow during out Media class period, I can start editing. I plan on finishing my first draft of my video by Thursday because I want to have time to make corrections and if I do have to re-film anything then I will have time to do it instead of turning in a messy video and get a low grade on it. The last and final reason to why I think I am on task is because everything that I needed to do fro my project is practically done. The only thing that is left for me to do is to edit my video and to get my first draft to Mr.M once i am done editing. Okay so those are the three reasons to why I think I am on task for my project. I hope you enjoyed my blog!
Hey everyone! For this week's free blog post I am going to be sharing a video that I found on Vimeo about traveling to Greece. The shots are absolutely amazing and so nice in this video. I wanted to share this with you because I really enjoy watching these types of videos and I hope that you will too after this video! Here is "Travel Greece":
Travel Greece from Jeanlee on Vimeo. Music is probably one the most important thing in life right now. Music inspires me in so many ways and when I found out that this week's blog topic is about music I got really excited. Listening to music is apart of my everyday routine. I listen to music at any time of the day and the different tones of the music (for example, sad songs) can really change my mood. So today I am going to be talking about my two favorite artists that inspire me the most and the one genre that specks the loudest to me.
I have so many artist that I turn to when I need inspiration but the first artist that inspires me the most would have to be Adele. Now probably a bunch of people are going to say Adele because of her songs "When We Were Young" and "Hello", but I do not listen to those songs when I am in need of some inspiration. Her album is not yet on Spotify, so I actually bought her album! I absolutely adore her songs and when I am confused or sad or even happy I usually turn to her because her songs have a bunch of meaning to it and I love her voice and the way she creates her songs. The next artist that inspires me is Beyoncé. Now, I saw Beyoncé because her songs are amazing! Ever single time in sad or depressed I listen to her and I automatically get cheered up. Whenever I hear her songs I just want to get up and dance and in that moment I am totally pumped and I feel much better! Her songs are about just being yourself and I love that about her! For this last paragraph I am going to be talking about which music genre I like to listen to when I need some inspiration. To be fully honest, I do not have a favorite genre of music. I listen to all genres! But right now I am loving music from Italy and Korea as my picker-uppers. I know, its totally weird but even if I need inspiration of I am sad I will just listen to anything and everything that I am in the mood for! Those were my two artists that I turn to when I need inspiration and the type of genre I listen to, which happens to be all of them! I hope you enjoyed this week's blog post and I will see you guys back here next week! Bye! p.s. HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY TO JAVLYNN! It's early because its Saturday right now. Hey guys! For this week's free blog post, I am going to be talking about a topic that a bunch of girls can relate to. Growing up in today's society is very difficult because society doesn't want us to be less then perfect so now there are really high standards. I wanted to share this video because even though it is about moms sharing what they want their daughters to know, this video can also be about what every girl should know. I also really enjoyed the way that BuzzFeed put this video together with people who have experienced how cruel society can be towards girls. So take a look at this video, it changed my whole perspective on the way that I see myself. Hey everyone! Its a new week and that means another blog post. This week's blog topic is about mistakes. Everyone has made mistakes in our life and that is how we learn. I know that some people are probably thinking, "I don't remember the last time that I have made a mistake. ". You cannot sit and think to yourself that you don't frequently make mistakes. It doesn't have to be a huge thing, it could be something like how you forget to finish all your homework... that is a mistake. So I am going to be talking about the top 3 biggest mistakes that I have ever made.
To start this blog post off, the first mistake that I can think of that happened last year. So I was in my room getting ready for my hula hoike that was happening later in the day. I was sitting on the floor trying to do my makeup. All of my products were open on the ground while I was trying to finish everything before we had to leave. So I began to put on my foundation and this is usually the third thing I do. So I left the bottle out without its cap on and I somehow knocked it over when I stood up and it got everywhere. I was freaking out because I needed to finish, there was a bunch of foundation on the carpet, and because I was in a hurry. I rushed to the living room to try and clean it up but nothing was working. I attempted to hide the huge foundation stain that was now on my carpet from my mother. She never really noticed until she was vacuuming one day. Of course I got in trouble because I did something not that smart and I tried to hide it. So the lesson that i've learned from this mistake was to do my makeup on the table and close everything, and to always be honest with my mom if I did anything wrong. The next story is about the time that I got a app when I was told that I was to never have. My mom is really strict about social media and basically the online realm. When I got my iPod in 2014, my mother told me what apps I was not allowed to have. Now everyone seemed to be liking this app that I could not get because of my mom. It seemed super fun and I wanted to be on that train of fun. So I got the app, made an account, and hid it from my mom. It went on for a couple of days until she did her random check ups and found it. She was really upset at me and I really can't blame her. I mean I went against her rules and betrayed her all for an app just so that I could be on the fun train. I got ground for about two months which is the longest I have ever had. The lesson that I learned in this mistake was to always follow my parent's rules and not to be sneaky and go behind their backs. So if you are sneaking behind your parent's back on your phone, i am just putting it out there that it is not worth it all. The last and final mistake that I have here to share with you is a story about a time that I was mean to someone. I actually did something really bad and I regret it everyday. The lesson that I learned was that I should treat others the way that I want to be treated. Anyways, those are my three ways that I have made mistakes before. There are more but here are the ones that I felt comfortable telling you. Okay that is it for this week's blog post. Hey everyone! For this week's free blog post, I am going to be talking about this 'Child You vs. Teen You" video. If you do not know this by now, I am actually going to be making this type of video for my fourth quarter project. Our fourth quarter project is supposed to show all that we learned throughout the year so, I will be incorporating all the basic things that we needed to learn for media. For example, I am going to be using voiceovers and nat sound. Here is an example of how I got my inspiration for my fourth quarter project by MyLifeAsEva: |
